Star Magic debunks reports of Piolo Pascual's 'death' MANILA, Philippines - ABS-CBN's Star Magic on Wednesday disputed reports that hunk actor Piolo Pascual died while filming in New Zealand.
"Walang katotohanan 'yon. Nagulat nga ang Star Magic kasi si Piolo nasa bahay niya sa Quezon City [at] natutulog ng kumalat ang text messages and reports," Thess Gubi, Star Magic’s PR head, told abs-cbnNEWS.com.
Gubi added that Pascual is in Subic right now to work.
Speculations about Pascual’s "death" spread after a website, Global Associated News, reported that Pascual “fell more than 60 feet to his death on the Kauri Cliffs while on-set.” The website cited reports from the New Zealand police as its source.
In November 2009, rumors that the actor was killed in a car accident also surfaced. His camp vehemently denied the speculations.
